Fortunately, most of my neck problem has cleared up, because today we are hosting a get-together for a neighborhood visitor. This was planned in advance, so it's hard to shuffle off to someone else. I've got some serious cleaning and baking to do.
But first, the Bible.
I met another sister of mine in today's reading, Lydia of Thyatira. Here is yet another woman who believed and practiced without being "gamed" by a man, and her whole household believed along with her. I'm not sure if she was a widow, but no husband, father, or brother is mentioned. I point out these women, and will go on doing so, not to score some kind of bizarre feminist point, but to prove unbiblical the teaching, rising in popularity, that women are incapable of godliness.
...I'm starting to write a lot like my husband talks. I think I need to get out more.
Bible reading today: Joshua 23-24; Psalms 120-122; Proverbs 24; Acts 16
How I served His Lordship today:
Laundry: Bedsheets, clothing
Fenris Walkies as needed
Washed the heck out of dishes that didn't get washed yesterday
Went around straightening things up
Tried to make chicken quesadillas for lunch
Discovered that fajita chicken expired a month ago
How the heck did that get by me?
Made plain quesadillas for lunch because I had to eat something
Cheddar cheese on low-carb tortillas are really boring, but at least it's food
Rested a bit after lunchBaked tasty things
Vacuumed entire house
Washed baking dishes
Bathed Fenris and put on his bowtie collar
Listened to husband mock me about bowtie collar on dog while I collected myself
...Well, wish me luck.
